Evan Gedert is a Michigan based composer and performing artist with a deep reverence for the natural world and the asymmetric structures that it produces. Primarily a percussionist, his performing experience in the worlds of classical, jazz, and rock music influences the music that he creates. Intuition, adaptation, and inspiration arise through his admiration of nature and seep into every crevice of his music.
Evan received his bachelor’s degree in music composition and percussion performance from Central Michigan University. His work spans both live performance and media, with performances of his live pieces, and a variety of media containing his compositions.
